1) #DIGSMITE: TEAM TAKES SILVER IN ATLANTA SMITE MASTERS

The Team Dignitas SMITE team traveled to Atlanta for the annual SMITE Masters, an end-of-split playoff event featuring North America and Europe's best teams. With the #2 seed in Europe, Team Dignitas entered the tournament as one of the event favorites. The team met expectations, cruising through the upper bracket and into the Grand Finals. The best-of-seven finals saw both Team Dignitas and Team RivaL fight to the end, going the seven game distance. Though it was close throughout, Team Dignitas fell just short in the end. Still, the SMITE squad took home an impressive silver medal and a $20,000 runner-up prize. The team's summer season starts next week as they look to qualify for Worlds at the end of 2018.

2) #DIGCLASH: MAXLAMENACE QUALIFIES FOR GEEK DAYS

This weekend new French Clash Royale player, MaxLaMenace, participated in the qualifiers for Geek Days Cup 2018. His first attempt was thwarted by player Lemon Tea, just one round short of qualification. In Qualifier #2, MaxLaMenance was successful, making it into the Top 8 and thus qualifying for the main event. He will travel to the Geek Days convention in Lille, France on May 26 to play for a share of the 3,500€ prize pot.

3) EMUHLEET AND HEATHER GAROZZO SPEAK AT WSJ ‘FUTURE OF EVERYTHING’

CS:GO Women’s captain, EMUHLEET, and Director of Fan Engagement, Heather Garozzo, traveled to New York for Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything conference. EMUHLEET and Heather chatted on stage with WSJ’s sports reporter, Ben Cohen, about HBSE’s involvement in esports, the future of esports player development and wellness and non-endemic sponsor interest in the industry. The Team Dignitas duo were preceded by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and were followed by 76ers owner, Michael Rubin and MLB great and esports investor, Alex Rodriguez.

4) #DIGSMITE: TEAM HOSTS FIRST DISCORD AMA

The first Team Dignitas Discord AMA went live last weekend. As a precursor to the SMITE Masters event, the SMITE team joined nearly one-hundred fans in the team Discord to answer any and all questions thrown their way. Forty-one questions came through during the thirty-minute session while fans also gave their well wishes to the team in advance of the tournament. The team’s next Discord AMA will feature the PUBG team leading into Dreamhack Austin.

5) ODEE INVITED TO 10 DOWNING STREET, HOME OF UK PRIME MINISTER

General Manager, Michael “ODEE” O’Dell was invited to the home and office of the British Prime Minister, Theresa May. The reception included professionals from the UK’s creative industries. ODEE, along with ESL’s James Dean, were the nation’s two esports representatives to talk about the industry with other business leaders in creative fields.
