Presenting the Team Dignitas Smite Open Cup - Sponsored by Alienware and Hi-Rez Studios

The second edition of the Team Dignitas SMITE Open Cup is open for signups!

In July 2013, Team Dignitas hosted a first SMITE tournament in cooperation with Alienware and Hi-Rez Studios. We saw several top teams and upcoming challengers fight for a £1000 cash prize, with Hi-Rez Bart covering every round of the tournament. We're happy to announce that the second edition of the Team Dignitas SMITE Open Cup will be taking place this weekend, March 8-9th. This time we're putting forward a $2000 cash prize, divided amongst the best 8 out of 32 teams.

This is an open cup, meaning all teams from all regions are allowed to sign up and we hope to see all slots being taken. However, there are only 32 spots, so hurry up and get signed up! The signups open as of today, Monday March 3rd, and end on Friday March 7th.

Teams can sign up by creating a comment on the announcement newspost and you are expected to be on the mIRC cup channel (#dignitas.cup @ Quakenet) 30 minutes before the start of each match day to confirm your participation. We will be streaming all rounds so make sure you tune in on twitch.tv/SmiteGame.

Please note: this tournament is hosted in Europe. All games will be played on a European server with the exception of NA v NA. 8 positions will be held for qualifying LAN teams (4 from each region). These spots will be forfeited to back up teams at tournament time if not filled.

Update: please join the cup chat (#dignitas.cup on Quakenet) at 17:00 CET on Saturday to confirm your participation. The first 32 teams to do this will be entered in the tournament.
